Account Deletion
If you choose to delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active user database. However, for legitimate business and legal reasons (such as auditing, security investigations, or compliance with applicable law), we may retain a minimal record of your account in a separate "Deleted Users" database. This record may include your user ID, the date of deletion, and limited login information (e.g., username or email). We maintain this process to ensure we can (1) comply with law enforcement or regulatory inquiries, (2) detect and prevent fraud, and (3) protect the integrity of our services.
Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide our services, comply with our legal, accounting, and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
In general, customer account data is retained for the duration of your or your organization's contractual relationship with SwitchBase and for a limited period thereafter to support backups, audits, and legal obligations. Prospect and website-visitor data is retained until it no longer has business value or you ask us to delete it. When personal data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
International Data Transfers
SwitchBase is based in the United States, and your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we ensure appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place for such transfers.
Security of Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
